Deftones

B-Sides & Rarities DVD

Editor's Review:

Released as part of the B-Sides & Rarities disc, the DVD addendum spans the Deftones’ collection of music videos. It’s an entertaining, occasionally comical timeline, as you can watch them transform from the nü-metal shit-storm of “7 Words,” to such quality works as “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)” and the undeniably amazing “Change (In the House of Flies).” However, being the little carper I am, I find that the music of the Deftones is best left to the ear, as music videos become somewhat intrusive on the epic atmospherics of the group’s songs. Live snippets and the documented recording of their last self-titled release can also be found between songs. All in all though, this is essential viewing for any hardcore Deftones fan.
