Hit By A Semi

Hit By A Semi

Editor's Review:

Like the proverbial phoenix, Hit by a Semi has risen from the ashes of local punk mainstays, Beanfight, to become one of the more powerful bands in the Chico scene. This power is not only evident in their live show, but comes across clearly on their self-titled debut EP. While by no means groundbreaking, Hit By A Semi does offer a refreshing new take on an often stale formula. What really separates this CD from the hordes is the vocal delivery. Somewhere between Mark Guttermouth and a high school football coach, singer Rich Silva makes you believe such lines as "I don't give a fuck about you," and "all I need are friends, booze, and tattoos." If you have any interest at all in the local scene, or punk rock in general, Hit By A Semi should garner your interest.
