the Wallflowers

Breach

Editor's Review:

The Wallflowers' third CD is a product of learning and perfecting a talent they already posses. From their first release in 1992, they moved to Bringing Down the Horse in 1996. Bringing… is an incredible album that sold enough CDs to gain attraction. It was a compilation of music both pleasing and intelligent. Now, with Breach on the shelf, the boys of The Wallflowers have succeeded in duplicating greatness while managing to move forward in their progress as musicians. Silently and powerfully, these men have worked hard for what they love.

The Wallflowers are a band that sits back, plays their music and watches for reaction. They are quietly making waves in the music industry. From Bringing Down the Horse until now, their style has not changed much. They have slow steady beats that remind you of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers. Bob Dylan's son, Jakob Dylan, has an incredible talent for singing his own lyrics in a way that makes you sigh; he has a beautiful voice and his lyrics are just poems sung aloud. The guitarists are both Dylan and Michael Ward; it is believed that they both play the key instrument in The Wallflowers original sound. They are both obviously experienced and talented. Besides the usual guitar, drums and bass, The Wallflowers have incorporated a keyboard and vibes that give them a slightly distinct and colorful sound.
