Fuel

Angels and Devils

Written By: Dustin Bennett

Editor's Review:

“Was that Nickelback?” “No dude, that was Puddle of Mudd.” “You guys are so lame, that was totally Hinder.” No actually, all you dumbasses are wrong. That monotonous, generic drivel you’re hearing is Fuel and their new album, Angels and Devils. The fourth release from the Harrisburg, PA, quartet is painfully filled with metal radio power-ballads. Of particular annoyance are the sappily constructed “Again” and “Wasted Time,” which they, thank God, included two versions of, as well as the wannabe hardcore recycle-fest “Not This Time.” The strongest track on the album, and destined to be a radio hit, is “I Should Have Told You,” which does have a very catchy melody. In the end though, I think I’ll just keep driving ‘til my tank runs out of Fuel.
