The Casualties

Made in NYC

Written By: Mike Kieran

Editor's Review:

Attitude. It’s what has kept the Casualties alive and kicking since 1990. Seventeen years later, their full-frontal assault style continues to crash straight ahead and their foot-long mohawks continue to stick straight up from their heads. Made in NYC comes with both a live album and DVD, from a show at the Knitting Factory in New York City. A poster is folded into the liner as well. Vocalist Jorge Herrera sounds like an angry badger, screaming largely incoherent vocals and energizing the crowd. The music is loud and dirty, thundering through simple progressions at breakneck speed. The Casualties may not be the most talented band, but their attitude and energy are formidable.
