Anti-Flag

A Benefit for Victims of Violent Crime

Written By: Mike Kieran

Editor's Review:

Anti-Flag released this album in response to the violent death of bassist/vocalist Chris #2’s sister. The album contains five new studio songs and five live recordings of old material. Anti Flag’s talented songwriting and meaningful lyrics are in full effect here. On “Anthem for the New Millennium Generation” they ask, “Why should it be the poor to die in combat zones? While Congress and their children sit safe in their lavish homes?” Chris #2 plays a powerful intro on “No Future,” and a meaty bass solo on “Marc Defiant.” I’ll close with my favorite quote on this album: “I always thought if you want to change the world you have to start with yourself/So if George Bush wants to end terrorism he should go ahead and kill himself.
