Elliott

False Cathedrals

Editor's Review:

Occasionally, and often unexpectedly, a band comes along that so defies my suppositions of music that I feel almost awe-struck. False Cathedrals, is by far the biggest and most pleasant musical surprise I've had in quite some time. Elliott fully realize the potential of post-punk, essentially putting themselves in a class all their own. Beautiful, proficient instrumentation; haunting vocals; poetic, thoughtful lyrics. I hate to sound overly excited, but in all seriousness, this album has yet to leave my stereo since I acquired it. Moreover, the songs have yet to leave my head. By far the best album I've heard this year.
