Destroyer

Trouble in Dreams

Written By: Rick Barnett

Editor's Review:

Destroyer did it again and built an album while running from room to room with muddy shoes, dragging blankets of chaos over 300 count linens wrapped around fine structured songs. From “Blue Flower/ Blue Flame” (a smooth story telling of beautiful guitar and piano work) to “Libby’s First Sunrise” (the only and perfect way to end a brilliant album) and all nine tracks in between, Dan Bejar and the gang let hair down and set feet tapping. Trouble in Dreams will push hope for peace and quiet out the door and also invite in the cruel criminal that will make a date uneasy, but who by the end of the album will somehow seduce the most religious nun to a bed of smiles, dancing and pure pleasure.
