Take Action! vol. 7

Written By: Masanghai Youboty

Editor's Review:

Compilations are like buying those surprise Carnival candy bags when you were a kid: You already know that some will be crappy but at least most of it’s great! Likewise, Take Action! vol. 7 is no different and hosts an assortment of genre-defying artists, ranging from Motion City Soundtrack to Emery to Aiden. Noticeably, none of these songs are new releases. But before you complain, consider morality overshadowing freshness. The record begins with a PSA by Every Time I Die’s Andy Williams urging today’s youth to take action about a cause that you’re passionate about. Accordingly, a portion of the album’s proceeds is awarded to young people looking to make positive changes in their communities. It’s a very inexpensive CD for an expansive volume of music and video footage.
