Josh Freese

The Notorious One Man Orgy

Editor's Review:

Josh Freese has played for some of my favorite bands: Suicidal, The Vandal, Infectious Grooves, Perfect Circle, and even the new Guns 'n' Roses album. This album sounds kind of like Weezer at times, with a little Dinosaur Jr. thrown in for good measure. The lyrics are humorous, but a little cheesy for my taste. Sonically, this is a great album, with guest spots by Warren from The Vandal and Stone Gossard from Pearl Jam, to name a few. The majority of the album was recorded by Josh alone, a pretty impressive feat. I had no idea he was so versatile. This is a good first solo effort; its sickly sweetness is made up for with humor. I would definitely buy this album and use it for housecleaning music.
