Equal parts jaw-dropping technical death metal and balls-to-the-wall sludgecore, Soilent Green delivers a masterpiece with Inevitable Collapse In The Presence Of Conviction. Frontman Ben Falgoust commands the microphone like few others in metal, delivering his vocals with confidence and power. His bandmates create jerky, frenetic, buzz-saw compositions that defy categorization, and together, they concoct a blackened, Cajun-fried metal succotash that is truly unique. Their time signatures are all over the place, complex enough to satisfy the math-metal nerds but not sacrificing an ounce of heaviness for their technical prowess.
