Dieselboy
Substance D
Editor's Review:
Substance D holds together a specific theme, which just happens to be the name of the stuff that Bob Arctor/Agent Fred got so entangled with in Philip K. Dick’s novel A Scanner Darkly. However, unlike the chemical that slowly tears the two parts of your brain apart, Damian Higgins intended it to contain the "therapeutic power of music," as spoken about by neurologist Oliver Sacks. Using the artwork to get the idea across, disc one is chock full of hard-hitting drum and bass, even taking a stab at "Paris" by MSTRKRFT. Disc two is all unmixed tracks that are only differentiated by the fact that it does not flow as well as the first. Perfect for entertaining your next hour-long rave in an abandoned warehouse.Write Your Own Review
