Lil' Wayne

Tha Carter III

Written By: Lynsie Cameron

Editor's Review:

At first listen to The Carter III, you could really talk mad shit about what all the hype was about, but like most Weezy albums, it takes a couple runs through the whole album to really appreciate it. When “I Feel Like Dying” was leaked from Carter III last summer, fans hoped he would rap about something real like that more often, instead of things of the “Lollipop” nature. So with “…Dying” being his first single, we were skeptical. But Wayne really lays some bars down on who he is with this one, especially on “Tie My Hands,” “Shoot Me Down” and “Don’tGetIt.” Listen to “Don’tGetIt” all the way through; it’ll clue you in to how Lil Wayne’s mind works. It’s crazy.
