Hot Water Music

No Division

Editor's Review:

Hot Water Music are a very interesting band with a very devoted, if small, following. People either have no idea who in the hell they are or love them more than life itself. I was first exposed to HWM last year when I saw them with Sick Of It All and A.F.I., and I have to say that the Gainesville boys held their own against two of the best live bands around. Although listening to No Division lacks the sheer power of the live show, it does have its advantages; namely, it gives one an opportunity to more fully absorb the ideas being presented. I will admit, the first time I listened to this CD, I didn't really know what to think. But upon further listening, I've fortunately grown to appreciate this CD for what it is, a beautifully crafted album by seasoned veterans of the Emo world. If you like Fugazi, Leatherface, or any other bands of this ilk, definitely check out No Division.
