Smut Peddlers (hip-hop)

Porn Again

Editor's Review:

These guys are getting a lot of press for the X-rated video to their first single, "Bottom Feeders," a nasty pornography and gross-out fest directed by and featuring the hardest white rapper ever, RA The Rugged Man. However, Porn Again, the release from which that single comes, is a solid NYC hip-hop album. Cage and Mr. Eon's scratchy vocals match Mighty Mi's rough and scruffy beats, and the subject matter of the raps themselves - porn, dirty sex and more porn, mostly - match a sound that is dripping with hard, dirty funk. But these guys aren't just sexually frustrated white NYC rappers; their skills on the mic and reputations have attracted guest rappers like Kool G. Rap and Kool Keith to this project, and they should attract plenty of fans, too.
