Murphy's Law

The Best of Times / Good for Now

Editor's Review:

No matter how far civilization progresses, bands like Murphy's Law will never go away. There will always be macho guys who like to bump into each other at concerts just for the hell of it. A staple on the New York hardcore scene since they formed in 1985, the band has won legions of fans with their goofy brand of hardcore punk and ska. This re-issue of their 1991 album, The Best of Times, and their 1993 EP, Good for Now, showcases the band in their heyday with songs about getting stoned and having a blast with their skinhead buddies. Murphy's Law states that whatever can go wrong will, and a lot of things go wrong on this 19-song release, but songs like "1%" and "Sock It To Me Santa" are definite hardcore party anthems.
