the Offspring

Conspiracy of One

Editor's Review:

Despite a major rise to popularity, The Offspring continue to pump out songs with meaningful lyrics and the hard edged sarcasm that has made Dexter famous. "Million Miles Away" and "Dammit, I Changed Again" hearken back to the days of Ignition, while "Living in Chaos" revives the Egyptian guitar riffs from Smash. This album does have its pop hooks and seemingly radio geared content, but the faux love song "Want You Bad", and the good wholesome fun in the Vandal's sounding "One Fine Day" make it a worthwhile addition to any CD collection, whether you think they're punk enough or not.
