Tony Hawk's Proving Ground

Video Game Review

After many years and many different titles, Tony Hawk skateboarding games have solidified themselves as the premier series of skating video games. While some may say the series has grown stale, catching grinds and pulling off crazy aerial combos in Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground for the Nintendo DS is nearly as much fun as playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater for the first time back on the old PS1. The imaginatively designed courses look good and you can modify them to your own liking. The only major fault with the game is that in transferring it to the DS, the handheld’s small screen inhibits the viewing of the skating environment which makes the game play a bit awkward at times.
