Project Playlist
Web Site Review
2008-04-11
As information sharing and social networking are all the rage these days, Project Playlist deserves a place in your pantheon. The site lets users find legal music on the Web, then make playlists to listen to and share. The concept is cool, but it probably circumvents some copyright laws—most popular music is available on it. Being able to pull up one’s own playlist on the road without dragging around CDs or an MP3 player is a promising concept. The first song I added was a mediocre recording, but the next couple sounded okay. Plus the rap song had profanity—sweet! For many this site could be more useful than Internet radio, when you never know what will pop up. Some loading time is involved.
